Since 2007, Encore Charter High School for the Arts has delivered stunning academic results by offering students a unique arts-based educational experience in the City of Hesperia. In 2015, Hansberger & Klein, PLC served as borrowers counsel on a bond transaction to acquire the school’s current high desert facility. The bond sizing was approximately $20,000,000. We successfully closed the transaction in May 2016. More recently, the school has opened escrow on a ~$10,000,000 property in Riverside, California to house its Riverside school site. The property is approximately $10,000,000, and we anticipate a total bond sizing of $22,000,000. Hansberger & Klein, PLC has begun due diligence on the transaction and anticipates closing on the property in May 2018. Construction will commence to retrofit the building immediately thereafter with an anticipated occupancy date of September 2018.
